Goldfein CZ Ltd has been operating in the Czech market since 1999 when it was established as a daughter company of the German Salzkotten firm Goldfein GmbH (est. 1976). At the beginning Goldfein CZ was a trading company that worked together with a few Czech-based firms on the manufacture of bakery and confectionary products.
In summer 2000 the owners decided to relocate the manufacture of most products to the Since then the turnover has doubled from 6 million Euros in 2000 to 12 million Euros in 2006 and the number of employees has risen to 240. The production program is focused on bakery and confectionary products with a 4 to 6 month shelf-life. German expertise is employed for the production of Swiss rolls and baked whipped-mass products, while traditional Czech recipes and procedures are used for Gingerbread and coconut bars. Thanks to its exceptional qualities and more than 100 years of traditional manufacturing the gingerbread is currently being considered by the European Union Commission for a unique trade-mark: ‘Pardubicky pernik’. Production of the highest quality is ensured by rigorous internal control systems as well as external audits carried out by state organizations. The HACCP system (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) is well established and embedded in the production process. Goldfein CZ is currently preparing for a certification audit through the IFS system (International Food Standards). Products are distributed to national and international markets.
